Fifty posts per batch
A hard cap, enforced before upload rather than halfway through. Larger files are rejected with a clear message instead of partially importing and leaving you to work out what landed.
Automatic staggering
Give a start time and an interval and every row gets a slot computed from it. Times stay editable per row, and daylight-saving boundaries are handled rather than shifting your week by an hour.
Row-level errors, by line
A caption over the limit reports the line and the count — "Line 14: caption too long (520/500)" — so a 50-row file with two mistakes takes a minute to fix, not a re-export.
Import as drafts
A batch can land entirely as dated drafts on the calendar. Useful for planning ahead of a client sign-off, and the only way a free workspace can use it.

Two ways in

From media. Pick 2–50 videos or images. Postonus creates one post per file, in the order you picked them, and you add captions in the review table.

From a CSV. One row per post, with the caption and optionally a time. Rows are validated on parse, so problems surface as a list before anything is created.

Either way you land on the same review table: a thumbnail, an editable caption, a computed time, and a status per row.

The staggering

Give a start time and an interval and the rest is arithmetic:

Every computed time remains editable, so the automatic spread is a starting point rather than a decision you are stuck with. Daylight-saving transitions are handled in the computation — a batch that spans a clock change does not silently drift.

Errors you can act on

A 50-row CSV with two bad rows is the normal case, and the useless version of this feature is one that says "import failed".

Fix them in place in the review table, or re-upload. Nothing is scheduled until the whole batch is valid.

Bulk import respects your monthly per-platform quota. Scheduling 50 posts to three channels is 150 scheduled posts against your plan, and the error names the limit if the batch would exceed it.

Drafts first, if you prefer

A batch can be imported entirely as dated drafts. They sit on the calendar looking exactly like scheduled posts, and they can never publish, which makes them useful for two things: planning a month before a client signs off, and using bulk import at all on a free workspace, where live scheduling is gated.

Promoting a draft to a real schedule is always an explicit action, and that is the point where it starts counting against your plan.

How many posts can I schedule at once?

Up to 50 per batch. Multiple batches are fine, so a larger backlog is a few uploads rather than a blocked task.

Can I bulk upload videos, not just captions?

Yes. Pick a set of images or videos and Postonus creates one post per file, then staggers them. This is the flow for a folder of short-form video exports.

How are the times chosen?

You give a start time and an interval and each row is spaced by it. Every computed time stays editable, and you can also let posts fall into your next recommended posting windows instead.

What happens if one row is invalid?

You get a per-row error naming the line and the problem, and the batch waits. Nothing is scheduled until the rows are valid, so you never get a half-imported month.

Is there a caption length limit for bulk rows?

Bulk captions cap at 500 characters, matching the single-post composer. Per-platform limits still apply on top of that at publish time.

How does this compare to other tools?

Buffer and Hootsuite both offer CSV bulk uploads on paid plans, with larger row caps than ours but a requirement that media be at a public URL. Later has no CSV scheduling import, and Pallyy has none either. Postonus takes local files directly.
